ABOUT NDTI

The National Disaster Training Institute (NDTI) was established in 2006, emerging from a reorganization of the National Disaster Management Institute (originated from the Central Civil Defense Academy in 1986). The primary role of NDTI is to provide training to public officials in the areas of disaster and risk management, enhancing their expertise in disaster management, as well as private sector workers involved in national civil defense drills and safety management. NDTI also engages in active cooperation and collaboration with private institutions and international entities to mitigate risks and disasters, while supporting the research and development of strategies for disaster prevention and the advancement of disaster management technologies. In 2023 alone, approximately 64,070 individuals completed training programs, both in-person and online, at NDTI. More information about NDTI can be found at the official website (https://eng.ndti.go.kr/).
